[Suki Ohtani]

 Ikgai Haru Matsuri was a big deal for Tokyo. The entire city had something going on. From cooking competitions, food stalls, fireworks and what else have you. Naturally, one of the biggest media companies in Japan, HoloStar, was part taking. HoloStar was hosting a concert outside their main store in Tokyo. Their main offices weren't in present in Tokyo but having a location in Tokyo was sort of required. Naturally, the concert occurring at the Tokyo location wasn't a normal concert. They had set up a massive stage that was part stage, part screen. Part of the stage was dedicated to the live band that would fill in for various instruments that were needed for the various talents while the screen was there to show the talents model performing. Due to the nature of what HoloStar was, the talents were performing in a studio in the HoloStar building and their model was being projected on the screen. The talents would wear motion caption suits and would do their performance while their vtubing model was being shown on the screen. It was a very involved process but it worked.


Suki was ready for her performance. She knew the crowds were going to be massive, as they usually were.  Usually, there were crowds of 40,000+ at these concert but the festival concert is expected to have 80,000+ concert goers. HoloStar sold tickets (about 40,000) ahead of time so people could be closer to the stage and get some special merch while the rest were general tickets one could get for free. People wouldn't get that great of a view of the stage, but would still get a good showing of the music.  Speakers were placed in a way that people could hear the music clearly, regardless of where they were standing.


Suki smiled a bit at her gen mates before they got the go ahead from the producer and she heard her Gen mate yell Hello Tokyo!!!!!!! Suki smiled at bit, as she could hear the loud roar from the crowd outside. She nodded a bit before starting the songs. HoloStar had planned that all their gens of talents had their spotlight and some collabs. Suki was the one of the more popular talents from her generation.

The group performed six songs. Each talent group performed a six songs, resulting in about a 4 hour concerts.

[Futaba Tamashiro]

Futaba was a nervous. Usually, she didn't feel the pressure of performances on her but this concert was part of her quest of becoming a full timer at HoloStar. It had been a incredible journey for her at the company and she knew that she would have to become fulltime eventually or face the prospects of graduation. Based on what her full time gen mates have told her and what her mentor told her, she was on the right track. Usually, part timers don't get invited to these sorts of concerts, let alone perform. Futaba was nervous about that part. She had never done a concert outside her office. Karaoke was very different to performing her original songs.

Stretching a bit, she watched the screen that HoloStar had set up to view what was happening on stage. Watching Suki, Ai, Kazue and Umi perform was wonderous. They were the veterans of the company and it showed. Their performance was flued and simply stunning from both a technical and musical perspective. Futaba was too distracted, watching the performance, to notice her manager sit down next to her. 'Congrats on making it, Tamashiro. Glad to have you at the company. Enjoy your moment. You only have one first time full time performance.' Futaba didn't have the words sink in with her yet and won't until later that night.


'Lets welcome your favourite squids, Momo and the Golden Bazookas!!!!! Futaba took her que and ran onto "stage". Their first song was more of a dance number. Futaba (trumpet) and her gen mates played their instruments. The songs of her band were less lyric oriented. They were more about having fun with their music.

After a couple songs, Futaba was ready to get off the stage when she felt the tap of Suki on her shoulder. One more song.

[Freja Helt]

Freja had never been to a concert this big. Most of the concerts she had been to was back home, and usually the smaller indie type sort of setup, where the bands were local and maybe pulled in a hundred to two-hundred people at most? Stepping into this venue was a whole 'nother world, like something she imagined the big arenas would look like when a popular singer drew in thousands of adoring fans. Freja herself was one such fan of Suki, having tuned into her livestreams many times before back at the dorms. She imagined today was going to be a different experience, seeing as it was her first time seeing her live like this.

She looked over at Rin and Emi, happy that she had talked both of them into going. She always felt safer with her friends by her side. When that first ''Hello Tokyo!!!!'' hit Freja was right there with the rest of the crowd, roaring along. It was a powerful feeling, everyone being gathered here together and sharing a special moment in time.

It was nice to discover new songs too as the other talent got to show their skills, particularly from the one that unbeknownst to her was someone she had already met before. If only she knew Futaba was one of the idols on stage. Nevertheless, the song Freja was really hyped for was Suki's. So much so that after the fact, before her and her friends left the venue, she was totally going to pick up some merch. She wasn't even sure it was possible, but somehow she left the concert as a bigger fan than when she arrived.
